What we collect
What you give us. If you join the waitlist, we ask for your email address. Your names and wedding date are optional. If you write to us through the contact page, we receive your name, your email and whatever you write. If you become a client, you'll send us the things we need to build your website: your invitation, your photos, your colors, your story, your schedule and your guest list.
What arrives on its own. Like nearly every website, ours keeps basic technical records: pages visited, browser type and the address a visit comes from. If you arrived through an ad or a link, a small note in your browser's local storage remembers which one, so we know what brought you here. Our hosting provider, Netlify, processes our forms and keeps standard server logs.
Ad measurement. When we run ads, we use the ad platform's measurement pixel to learn whether those ads work. A pixel tells the platform that its ad led to a visit or a signup. It's how a small shop avoids wasting money, not a way to build a file on you.
What we use it for
We use your information to reply to you, to hold your founding spot, to let you know when your spot opens, to build your website if you hire us and to figure out which of our ads are worth running. That's the whole list.
What we never do
We never sell your information. We never rent it, trade it or hand it to data brokers. We never spam you, and every email we send has a working unsubscribe that we honor the first time.
Couples, guests and wedding websites
The websites we build hold personal things: guest lists, RSVPs, meal choices, dietary notes, photos, the shape of someone's wedding day. Here is how we treat all of it.
- Your website is private by default. It isn't listed anywhere and we tell search engines to skip it. Guests find it through you, not through Google.
- Your guest information belongs to you. RSVPs, meal choices and dietary notes appear only on your private dashboard, and we use them only to run your website. Never for marketing. Never sold, shared or studied.
- Guests see only the events they're invited to.
- Your photos, your words and your guest list stay yours, always. Hiring us gives us permission to use them to build and run your website, nothing more. We only show a couple's website or photos in our own marketing with written permission.
- When your wedding is over, tell us and we'll take your site down and delete the guest information. We're happy to do that at any time you ask, before or after the big day.
Who helps us behind the scenes
A few trusted services help us run things, and each sees only what its job requires. Netlify hosts our websites and processes our forms. Google Workspace handles our email. A domain registrar registers your domain when we set one up for you. If you pay us, a payment processor handles the transaction and your card number never touches our systems. We use AI tools to help design and build websites, and the materials you send us go through those tools only to do that job. We choose tools whose terms keep your material from being used to train them. None of these services may use your information for their own purposes.
Your choices
Want to see what we have, fix something or have it deleted? Ask through our contact page and we'll take care of it, usually within a few days. We do this for everyone, not just where a law says we must. We don't build tracking profiles of our visitors, so browser Do Not Track signals don't change how the site behaves. There's nothing to turn off beyond the ad measurement described above.
Children
Our website is for people planning weddings, so it isn't directed at children and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to us and we'll delete it.
When this policy changes
If we change this policy, we'll update it here with a new date at the top. If a change actually matters, we'll say so plainly instead of hoping nobody notices.
How to reach us
The easiest way is our contact page. A person reads every message and a person writes back, every time.
